PROFESSIONAL VALUES, STANDARDS & BEHAVIOURS

Both the marketing and events sectors operate within a well-established set of professional values and industry standards designed to ensure that work is delivered ethically, safely and to a consistently high standard. Across both industries, employers prioritise professionalism, inclusivity, safeguarding, sustainability, strong communication and ethical practice. Additional expectations include reliability, teamwork, accountability and delivering high-quality client service in environments that are often fast-paced and driven by deadlines.

Clear communication and ethical practice form the foundation of my professional approach. As Head of Marketing for Rugby All-Stars, I ensured that all digital content complied with safeguarding guidelines for under-18 participants. This required sound judgement, transparent communication with parents and coaches, and responsible content management, reflecting the ethical and legal standards expected in both marketing and youth sporting events environments.

Client service and collaborative working are essential across both sectors. During my work with Bradley Dyer Raw on the Disneyland Paris 30th Anniversary experiential activation, I collaborated with clients, venue teams and internal departments to support the delivery of a complex, multi-element project. Demonstrating reliability, thorough preparation and teamwork was key to maintaining client confidence and ensuring the activation met the required professional standards.

Attention to detail, operational accuracy and safety are equally important in marketing and events. While supporting Focused Events on international Motorrad experiences, I managed insurance documentation, logistical planning and travel arrangements for clients. These responsibilities required precision, accountability and careful adherence to safety procedures, qualities that are essential for effective event management.

Together, these examples demonstrate my strong alignment with the professional values, standards and behaviours required for successful practice in the marketing and events sectors.
