My upSkilling plan

As I progress towards a career in the marketing or events sector, I am committed to strengthening the skills that will support my long-term professional growth. While my experience has equipped me with strong foundations in content creation, event operations, digital marketing and client communication, I recognise the need to further advance my strategic marketing capabilities, data analysis skills and proficiency with specialist event management technologies. I also aim to build greater confidence in managing large-scale projects and developing long-term client relationships.

Over the next 6-12 months, I will continue to look for experience through involvement in live events, freelance digital marketing work and sector-focused seminars on topics such as experiential marketing, sustainability and emerging digital trends. Longer term, my goal is to progress into a marketing or event management role where I can lead more complex projects and contribute strategically to organisational goals.

To achieve this, I have outlined a structured development plan. In the short term, I intend to complete LinkedIn Learning courses covering marketing strategy, campaign analytics and Adobe Creative Cloud tools to elevate my creative and analytical skill sets. I also plan to use Eventbrite Academy resources to deepen my understanding of event registration systems and digital engagement platforms. In addition, joining professional organisations such as the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) or the Event Marketing Association (EMA) will offer valuable industry insights, networking opportunities and access to specialist training.

This ongoing development is essential to enhancing my employability, adapting to industry demands and ensuring I remain competitive and well prepared for future opportunities in the marketing and events fields.
